Located in Southeast Louisiana just North of New Orleans and Lake Pontchartrain. The Northshore communities regularly rank highest in the state for education, safety, recreation, economy and employment indicators.

Slidell

Slidell is the largest city located on the northeastern shore of Lake Pontchartrain and in St. Tammany Parish.

The city is popular for many reasons. Even though Slidell’s location is near in proximity to the French Quarter, the Superdome, the world-famous Mardi Gras celebrations, and all the other attractions of New Orleans, it still retains its own unique identity. Mainly due to Lake Pontchartrain, which divides these two cities, Slidell is thriving community and has escaped the problems which trouble many large metropolitan areas without being isolated from the world.
